The 2024 Japan Summit marks our enhanced long-term commitment to Japan via our expanded footprint following Alliance 2.0 between Morgan Stanley and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG). Through this collaboration, we aim to become a leader in the equity business in Japan by combining MUFG's broad Japanese equity coverage and domestic client relationships with Morgan Stanley's global operating platform and international client relationships, and by meeting the increasingly sophisticated and diversifying needs of our clients.

Our flagship Japan Summit will host more than 120 leading companies from Japan, public and private, and more than 800 top-tier global investors, over two days of one-on-one and small-group meetings between corporates and investors, track presentations, fireside chats and panel discussions led by policy makers, industry experts, thought leaders, corporate executives and our Japan, Asia and global economists, strategists, and sector analysts.

Key investment themes we expect to cover include: global and regional geopolitical changes and implications for the world; global, regional and country macro trends; Japan's economy and governance reform journey; the US economy going into elections, dollar/yen, AI and its impact to the world; Systematic investing; EVs and their global supply chains, global semiconductors, supply chain rebalancing, longevity and changes to industries; Japan ESG/Sustainability trends in a global context, and many others.
